During world war II, Japanese was thinking to develope 1.5X size of B-29 which fly to the US to bomb then continue flying to Germany then refuel and bomb Russia then fly home. Basically round the world with 6 twin blades (contra-rotating) propellers. Germans had the similar concept with Amerika Bomber.
